They aren't just for new players, but some of us old folks already know them.
1. Get Gifts! When you're neighbors send you gifts, accept them all. But here's a trick. Use all but one of each. Ex you have 3 goats 1 apple tree, and 2 banana trees.
Leave one of each in your gifts, and place the rest in your farm. IF you grabbed neighbors like I told you, you'll have the blue ribbon for Pack Rat in no time.!
2. Don't spend your Farm bucks right away. Not your coins, but the FARMVILLE BUCKS. You'll need this to expand your farm when you reach the appropriate leve.
3. Sometimes less is more. There are alot fun decorations and buildings to buy (Check out the crop circles and Green cow they have now) But if you take up that space you're taking away from harvest and crop space, where you're moneys at.
4. The "open windows, while helping neighbors" cheat, will just have you pissed you spent alot of time clicking it. It will take your coins in the end.
5. Plan your crops around your schedule. Nothing worse that a 80coin waste!

Get Farmville Neighbors Fast See How
Ok, This is a follow up to my post How to Get More Farmville neighbors.
In less than 12 Hours I now have over 20 Neighbors! And in doing so I went to level 6 in less than 12 hours! Don't forget you can only do so many nieghbor requests per day, so don't forget to go back and send more Tomorrow!
It is much easier to move up in the beginning, but as you move along the levels, you ARE going to need neighbors to get ribbons and extra XP and Coins!
So treat your neighbors well. Here's some definate DO's.
1. Don't forget to GIFT! This is a perfect way to build your farm and theirs. Remember as they move up, they can gift you new things too!
2. You get XP and Coins for helping on their farms, if you have 50 neighbors, that's alot of COINAGE!
3. Fertilize! have you noticed that you get more XP when your crops are fertilized! So repay the favor! You can also send requests to have neighbors fertilize your crops. It's in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

For those of you just getting started on Farmville, you gotta help out your Neighbors.
Anytime you get a Ribbon, or have an accomplishment, it will ask you if you want to post it.

Another Farmville Cheat! Level up Quick!
So another farmville cheat that I use is when I'm close to a level, say within a 1000 or so points, I'll but something. It usually need to be a building, because they seem to have more XP points. Then if I don't want it I can sell it! A boom, I just leveled up! This is great if you have some coinage laying around.
Also, I sold my farming equipment, it was a waste. Once you use the gas, and on my farm it doesn't last long you have to waste Farmbucks to get more!

When I started playing Farmville, it was only because I friend of mine needed more neighbors. But once I signed up....
